NoFluffPicks Stats metric glossary
Short definitions of metrics used on public NoFluffPicks Stats pages.
- BTTS— Both teams scored
- BTTS shows how often both sides scored in the analysed match sample. We use it as historical goal context, not as a public betting pick.
- Over 0.5— At least one goal in the match
- Over 0.5 is met when a match has at least one goal. In league or team statistics it means the share of matches with that outcome.
- Over 1.5— At least two goals in the match
- Over 1.5 shows how often matches finished with two or more goals. It is a basic signal for the goal tempo of a league, team or match profile.
- Over 2.5— At least three goals in the match
- Over 2.5 is one of the most common goal lines. In NoFluffPicks Stats it shows the share of completed matches with three or more total goals.
- Over 3.5— At least four goals in the match
- Over 3.5 describes clearly high-scoring matches. It helps separate very open leagues and teams from those that only clear lower goal lines.
- Over 4.5— At least five goals in the match
- Over 4.5 covers very open matches. We use it mainly as extra context because the sample is usually smaller than for 1.5 or 2.5 lines.
- Under 1.5— No more than one goal in the match
- Under 1.5 shows the share of very low-scoring matches. A high value suggests a league or team with limited goal volume.
- Under 2.5— No more than two goals in the match
- Under 2.5 is the reverse of the popular Over 2.5 line. It helps judge whether past matches usually stayed low or medium scoring.
- xG— Expected goals
- xG estimates the quality of scoring chances, not the final score. For example, xG 1.40 means the team could expect roughly one to two goals from chance quality.
- xGA— Expected goals against
- xGA shows the quality of chances a team allowed opponents to create. Lower xGA usually points to a tighter defence, even if one result was unlucky.
- xPts— Expected points
- xPts are points estimated from chance quality, usually from the xG distribution. They do not replace the real table, but help show whether results match performance.
- PPG— Points per game
- PPG is total points divided by matches played. It makes teams easier to compare when they have played a different number of matches.
- W-D-L— Wins, draws, losses
- W-D-L is the basic result record. It corresponds to Z-R-P in Polish and keeps the same order: wins, draws and losses.
- Form— Recent team results
- Form shows the latest result context, usually the last five matches. We treat it as historical information, not as a ready prediction for the next match.
- Form table— Ranking based on recent matches
- The form table compares teams only by recent games, usually the last five. It can look different from the normal league table.
- Clean sheet— No goal conceded
- A clean sheet means a match without conceding a goal. In team statistics it shows how often the defence finishes a match without an opponent goal.
- Failed to score— No goal scored
- Failed to score means the team did not score in a completed match. A high percentage can point to attacking problems.
- Goals scored / match— Average goals scored
- This metric shows how many goals a team scores on average per match. It is calculated from completed matches, so it should be read together with sample size.
- Goals conceded / match— Average goals conceded
- Shows how many goals a team concedes on average per match. A lower value usually indicates a more stable defence.
- Average goals / match— Total average goals
- Average goals per match describes the goal tempo of a league, team or match sample. It is total goals divided by completed matches.
- Goal difference— Goals scored minus goals conceded
- Goal difference gives a quick view of team balance. A positive value means the team scores more than it concedes.
- Home wins— Home-team wins
- The share of home wins shows how strong home advantage is in a league or match sample.
- Draws— Drawn matches
- The draw percentage shows how often matches finish without a winner. It helps describe league balance and result profile.
- Away wins— Away-team wins
- The share of away wins shows how often visiting teams win. Together with home wins it describes the result structure of a league.
- H2H— Head-to-head matches
- H2H is the match history between specific teams. It is context that should be read together with current form and season statistics.
- HT/FT— Half-time and full-time result
- HT/FT describes the match scenario from half-time to full-time. For example, X/1 means draw at half-time and home win after 90 minutes.
- First-half goals— Goals before half-time
- This metric shows how often and how many goals are scored in the first half. It helps judge whether a team or league starts matches actively.
- Second-half goals— Goals after half-time
- Shows the goal tempo after the break. It is useful when a team often decides matches late.
- Goal before half-time— Match with a first-half goal
- This indicator shows in how many matches at least one goal was scored before half-time. It is a simple view of the first 45 minutes.
- Goals by minute— Goal distribution by time segment
- Shows in which match periods a team most often scores or concedes. We use ranges such as 0-15, 16-30, 31-45 and later.
- Shots / match— Average number of shots
- Shots per match show attacking activity, but not chance quality by themselves. They are best read with xG and shots on target.
- Shots on target / match— Average shots on target
- Shots on target narrow attacking activity to attempts that force a save or result in a goal.
- Corners / match— Average corner kicks
- Corners describe territorial pressure and how often attacks end with the ball cleared behind the goal line. They are not the same as chance quality.
- Cards / match— Average cards
- Cards per match describe discipline and match intensity. A high value may come from playing style, league profile or refereeing.
- League table— Season standings
- The league table shows real points, record and position in the season. It is the result of completed matches, not a model assessment.
- Team rankings— Metric leaderboards
- Rankings show the strongest or weakest teams in specific categories such as attack, defence, BTTS, Over 2.5, clean sheets, corners and cards.
- Attack leader— Team with the highest goal average
- The attack leader is the team scoring the most goals per match in a league or ranking.
- Best defence— Team conceding the fewest goals
- The best defence is the team with the lowest goals conceded per match. It is worth comparing with xGA when available.
- 1X2 odds— Odds for home win, draw and away win
- 1X2 means the three basic match outcomes: home win, draw or away win. We show odds as market information, not as a public reveal of a pick.
- Percentage chances— Outcome probability
- Percentage chances describe a probability estimate. Before kickoff we hide selected model chances publicly when they could reveal the pick.
- Pick scoring— Strength rating of a pick
- Pick scoring is an internal quality rating of the betting signal in the NoFluffPicks app. The public stats site does not reveal it before the match.
- Value— Value versus the odds
- Value is the difference between our probability estimate and bookmaker odds. Positive value can point to a long-term edge, but it does not guarantee a single-match result.
- Confidence— Signal confidence level
- Confidence describes how strongly the model supports a direction. On public pre-match pages we do not show it, so the private pick is not exposed.
- Historical statistic— Data from past matches
- Describes completed matches: goals, results, form, BTTS, Over/Under and other measurable events. It is not a private model pick.
- Model prediction— Private NoFluffPicks betting signal
- A model prediction is an assessment of a future event. On the public site we show statistical context before the match; full picks and reasoning are in the app.
